The Chair of Household and Consumer Economics offers various bachelor thesis topics in the area of its research and teaching activities. These include in particular the areas of household and consumption economics as well as gender economics. Furthermore, topics from the fields of family economics, health economics and labor economics can be found. You are also welcome to propose your own topics.
Prerequisite for the supervision of a bachelor thesis at our chair is a successful assignment via the examination information system (KVS) and the registration at the examination office of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. For further information, please refer to the page of the examination office.
Please also note the requirements of the examination regulations for the Bachelor's programs of the University of Hohenheim. Supervision can only take place after a binding registration at the examination office.
Once you have been assigned by the faculty's exam information system, you should register on ILIAS for the course Bachelor Theses of the current semester. The following link will take you to the bachelor theses of our department (Magazin>>Fakultät WiSo>>Institut 530>>530A).
Then select the current semester's Bachelor Theses course and register. We will then conduct a survey here to ask for your preferences. You will have the opportunity to submit three preferences regarding your favorite topics. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences, but we cannot grant you a right to a preferred topic.
Please observe our formal guidelines when writing a bachelor or seminar paper. Observance of these guidelines is generally obligatory and is intended to provide you with the necessary guidance to write a formally correct paper.
