Publication of the article "Energy poverty and subjective well-being in China: New evidence from the China Family Panel Studies" by Peng Nie, Qiaoge Li, and Alfonso Sousa-Poza.  [16.09.21]

The article examines the impact of energy poverty on subjective well-being among Chinese adults aged 18 and older.

It is shown that energy poverty ranges from 13.2% to 35.3% and leads to increased levels of depression. The relationship between energy poverty and subjective well-being is mediated by individual SRH and household food expenditure.
