The study measured eight causes of pandemic-related anxiety associated with COVID-19 among employees in Tehran hospitals. According to the study, employees are most afraid of the risk of contracting COVID-19 at work and transmitting it to their families. This is followed by uncertainty about organizational support for personal and family needs in the event of employee infection. Other causes of pandemic-related anxiety include health, finances, workload, and leadership. Decision makers should take differentiated approaches to reduce these causes of anxiety.
